Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the BabyLog app for iOS and Android, made by TomOi. By using the app you agree to them and to the privacy policy.

On iOS, Apple’s standard license agreement (EULA) also applies. If it conflicts with these terms, Apple’s EULA comes first on iOS.

Who can use it

BabyLog is for adults who care for a child, and for personal, non-commercial use.

What the app is

BabyLog is a notebook for your baby’s daily activities and measurements. It runs on your phone, with no account and no syncing. It is free and has no ads.

Not medical advice

BabyLog is for keeping notes. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a doctor.

• The summaries it shows, such as the highest temperature in the last 24 hours or how weight changed, only repeat the numbers you typed. They are not a health assessment.
• Activities suggested for your child’s age are only a convenience for the screen. They are not developmental or medical recommendations.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for the decisions you make about your child’s care.
• In an emergency, contact a medical provider right away.

Your data

What you enter belongs to you. It is stored on your phone only, and TomOi cannot access it. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example with CSV export or your phone’s backup, and for protecting your phone. If you lose your phone, uninstall the app or change devices, you may lose your data. Deleting all data in the app is permanent and cannot be undone. See the privacy policy for details.

Feedback

What you send us must be lawful and respectful. We may use the ideas in your feedback to improve our products, without payment or credit to you. We cannot promise to reply.

Ownership and open-source software

The app, the BabyLog and TomOi names, and the icons and designs belong to TomOi or its licensors. Please do not copy, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

BabyLog is built with open-source software, including Flutter and other libraries, each under its own license. The Nunito font is used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Third-party services

The App Store, Google Play, Sentry, PostHog, Google Fonts and any service you choose in the share sheet have their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

Changes and discontinuation

We may update the app, change its features, pause it or stop offering it. A future version may add paid features or syncing, and if so, extra terms will apply to them.

No warranty

BabyLog is provided “as is”. We work to keep it reliable, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors, always available or free of data loss.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, TomOi is not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or any care or medical decisions made using data in the app.

Your rights under local law

Nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that the law where you live gives you.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new terms.
