Philosophy

Kind, clear, and useful. In that order.

Five rules every TomOi app follows, most important first. They are short on purpose, so you can hold us to them. If an app breaks one, that is a bug.

Read the full principles

  1. Start from a real problem.

    Every app begins with something that got in the way of daily life. If it does not fix that, it does not ship.

  2. Be kind by default.

    No nagging, no guilt, no tricks to keep you inside. Open the app, do the thing, and leave.

  3. Respect your privacy.

    Your data stays on your device wherever possible. The apps collect only a minimal amount of fully anonymous usage data, so we can see what is confusing and fix what breaks. Nothing that identifies you.

  4. Be clear and transparent.

    What the app does, what it costs, and what it does with your data are on the page, before you download.

  5. No dark patterns.

    No fake urgency, no hidden subscriptions, no buttons designed to trick you. The price you see is the price you pay.
