Hi, I'm Quoc.

I have spent 13+ years in software and app development, and 5+ of those years working as a software product manager. TomOi is where I make the apps I wanted for myself, and it is also how I like to work with clients: kindly, clearly, and only on things that are actually useful.

    Plain estimates, plain language, plain progress updates. No jargon to hide behind and no surprises at the end.

Where the years went

  1. 13+ years

    Software and app development

    Mobile apps and web apps, from the first sketch to the store listing and the months of support after. These days mostly Flutter for mobile, plus web apps and the automation that connects them.

  2. 5+ years

    Working as a software product manager

    Scoping features, writing roadmaps, and shipping with engineers and designers. It taught me to ask what a thing is for before asking how to build it.

  3. Now

    TomOi and client work

    I build small apps for problems I have myself, and I take on a few client projects at a time so each one gets real attention.
